Food Friday: 1801 Grille turning food into art

1801 Grille is a fairly new restaurant in downtown Columbia that has only been open for about a year.

As soon as you set foot in the restaurant it is very clear that the decor celebrates USC history and Gamecock Nation.

The restaurant specializes in serving not only Southern classics but twists on your favorite dishes while turning them into works of art.

On this "Food Friday," our Morning Traffic & Lifestyle Reporter Natalie Parsons stops by the restaurant to chat and cook with Executive Chef Jason Bruner.

WACH FOX got to taste Smoke Chicken with a Kale salad and Brussel Sprouts, Smoked Gouda and Zeppole along with Duck Sausage Pizza and Truffle Pizza.

"The food is so fresh! And that is the one thing food wise that can make all the difference. Executive Chef Bruner is extremely talented. He prepares dishes that are unique in flavor guaranteeing you to come back for more...and let's not forget about how absolutely beautiful eat dish is. You almost feel guilty about eating it!" says Natalie Parsons.
