On this "Food Friday," our Natalie Parsons heads over to the Hampton St. Diner in downtown Columbia which is new to the area only being open since December 2017.
"We've had a really great welcoming from the community," says Christina Survana.
The Diner's Owner goes onto describe the diner as being very bright, open and inviting.
The food served is your traditional diner food like burgers and fries, Philly cheesesteak but there's also Southern dishes with a flare.
Like Chicken & Waffles which are rather "nontraditionally" served in the sense that you're getting waffles made with a corn muffin batter and hand-breaded butter milk chicken strips with a honey butter topping drizzled all over.
Their Grit Smorgasbord is similar to a "build your own bowl of Grits" with whatever you want to put in it. (The diner chose to make our's with spinach, diced tomatoes, sausage, eggs, cheddar cheese.)
And there's also Fish & Chips which instead of Cod is made with crispy fried Tilapia on top of some crispy crinkle-cut french fries.
In addition to the food being absolutely delicious, paying your bill can be a fun chore with a special "discount dice."
"Our Discount Dice gives everyone an equal opportunity to save here at Hampton St Diner," adds Survana.
When our Morning Traffic & Lifestyle Reporter rolled the dice it landed on a 50-cents off discount and that is just one of the six options to help you save some money while eating here.
