OnPoint on WACH Fox: Civil rights 50 years after Dr. King's death
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - On this week's OnPoint on WACH Fox we look at civil rights 50 years after the death of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Memphis, Tennessee was the epicenter of civil rights discussions last week as the city welcomed more than 75,000 people to commemorate the assassination of Dr. King in April 1968.
Since Dr. King's death, many think society should have accomplished more to achieve racial parity. However, others say significant progress has been made.
We'll discuss the situation with author, former state lawmaker and civil rights historian, Jim Felder.
We will also continue our look at Alzheimer's disease and dementia in South Carolina with our 'Ask Dr. Macie' segment where we'll explore the importance of exercising the brain, and how to do it.
