Study shows that Darlington Raceway contributes almost $53 million to SC
Darlington, S.C. (WACH)-- Darlington Raceway is contributing nearly $53 million in economic impact to the Palmetto State.
In a recent study conducted by the University of South Carolina's Sports and Entertainment Management school's Tom Regan, the tracks impact has created close to 800 jobs a year for South Carolinians.
The raceway has generated more than $20 million in labor income for the state workers.
According to the Associated Press, Darlington Raceway President Kerry Tharp said that the track takes pride in the benefits it brings to the state.
