No hassle Christmas shipping in the Midlands

COLUMBIA (WACH) --The rush is on for holiday shipping but you don't have to be stuck in long lines to mail out your Christmas presents.

The United States Postal Service wants to remind you that Wednesday is the deadline for Priority Mail and Thursday is the deadline for Express Mail to make it in time for Christmas delivery.

The post office is scheduled to deliver at least 16.5 billion items during the holidays.

Postal workers say in an effort to help you out several contracted postal units are open across the nation and the Midlands.

The stores are very convenient and is said to help cut down your wait time.

You have less waiting obliviously, you have longer hours and you have a little bit more personal service. All the services that you get at a post office you can get right here. Packaging is free for priority and express. They sell stamps they are a drop off point for all mail, says Harry Spratlin, United States Postal Service.
