USC students help DJJ youth with reading comprehension skills


Columbia, S.C. (WACH)-- The University of South Carolina partnered with the Department of Juvenile Justice to help juveniles turn the page on their past.

The three week program allows graduate students at USC to help jeveniles in the Birchwood School district gain reading comprehension skills to help them retain information.

It also teaches the USC students how to posetively impact every student in the classroom regardless of their background or skill set.
