$10k reward offered in retiring clerk's beating

Manning Police are still searching for the intruder that viciously assaulted 70-year-old Betty Pritchard.

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A reward is being offered by family friends of the retiring Clarendon County Clerk who was beaten Monday as she cleaned out her office.

Manning Police are still searching for the intruder that viciously assaulted 71-year-old Betty Pritchard.

At a press conference Tuesday, a group of friends announced they have pooled together the $10,000 reward that would go to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Pritchard was left unconscious after the attack for around four hours before she awoke to call 911. She continues to recover from a broken arm and lost fingertip.

If you have any information that investigators may find helpful, you're urged to call the Manning Police Department at (803) 435-8859.
