SUMTER, SC (WACH) - A 17-year-old wanted in connection with a shooting in Sumter has turned himself in, according to Sumter Police.
Police say Dominik Dingle turned himself in just after noon on Thursday.
Dingle was identified by witnesses from a home surveillance system which showed him running in the direction of an SUV and firing a weapon.
He is later seen returning to the shooting location picking up spent shell casings and throwing them away.
Officials say those shell casing were later found in the sewer.
Dingle is facing charges for attempted murder, tampering with evidence and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
His bond hearing is scheduled to take place on Friday morning.
A Sumter Police spokesperson says this is the 9th shooting in the South Sumter area since January.
