Wed, 05 Feb 2014 19:27:58 GMT — COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A company that makes construction equipment is establishing its North America headquarters in Fairfield County. BOMAG Americas said Wednesday it is investing more than $18 million and bringing 120 jobs to the area during the next five years. BOMAG Americas makes milling machines, asphalt pavers and other road building equipment. The plant and office space will be located in Ridgeway. Construction is expected to begin in March with the plant to be completed in October. BOMAG is a subsidiary of the French company Fayat.
