COLUMBIA, SC (WACH)- The Richland County Sheriff's Department is looking for a 26-year old man and his 10-month-old son.
Sheriff Leon Lott said at about 7:30 Thursday night Mark Barnes II sent his fianc' a message saying he and the couple's son, Mark Barnes III, were on their way home from downtown Columbia and dinner was left on the stove at their home on Carving Trail in Hopkins. When his fianc got home about 8:30 that night, Mark and their son weren't there and there had been no messages from them or sign of them. Lott said the woman hasn't heard from him since Thursday. Lott said Barnes was last seen about 4:00 PM Thursday around Forest Acres.
Lott said Barnes has a serious medical conditions that place him at risk. Lott asks the community for help in locating Barnes and his toddler. Mark may be driving a black 2000 Chevrolet 1500 truck with South Carolina tag U26773. It has a black tool box in the bed and damage to the front bumper on the passenger side.
