Meth lab discovery in hotel room

COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? Kershaw Couny Sheriffâ??s Office narcotics investigators arrested31-year-old Michael Brass of Lugoff, 30-year-old Heath Sanders of Columbia, and 29-year-old Jessica Norris from Elgin after officers discovered a small meth lab they were operating in a room at the Economy Inn in Lugoff.

Acting on anonymous tips, KCSO narcotics investigators went to room 18 at the Economy Inn and spoke with Brass, Sanders and Norris. During conversations with the occupants, deputies obtained consent to search the room. During their search, they discovered what is called a one pot meth lab as well as the ingredients used to manufacture meth.

Brass, Sanders and Norris were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth.

Brass has had previous arrests for narcotics, simple assault, criminal domestic violence, disorderly conduct, domestic assault and assault 3rd degree. Sanders has had previous arrests for disorderly arrests for disorderly conduct, DUI, strong armed robbery and carjacking. Norris has had previous arrests for DUI, disorderly conduct, domestic violence, narcotics, and is currently on probation for narcotics violations from Lexington County.

All three suspects are being held at the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing
