NEWBERRY, SC (WACH) - Three individuals were arrested Thursday after officers located an active meth lab at a home in Newberry.
Authorities say officers with the Newberry Police Department, Newberry County Sheriff's Department and State Law Enforcement Division executed a search warrant around 9:30 a.m. Thursday at home on Floyd Street in Newberry. The warrant was related to an on-going investigation into the manufacture of methamphetamine at the residence.
Officials with the Newberry Police Department say once inside the home, officers noticed an active meth lab, which prompted the response of a HAZMAT team and firefighters along with the closure of a section of Floyd Street. A private company also responded to handle the bulk of the decontamination process.
Police say Carol A. Hannah, 51, Earnest E. Hannah, 46, and Charles R. Wilson, 21, were taken into custody. Carol and Earnest Hannah lived at the home. The suspects are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and criminal conspiracy.
