35 illegal video poker machines seized in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG (WACH) â?? Three business owners have been arrested and 35 video poker machines seized, according to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

The owners of each of the businesses, John Mauldin, Dennis Knauer, and Thomas D. Smoak has been arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a gambling device.

Officers located 35 Pot-O-Gold and Crazy Bugs poker machines at Tommyâ??s Crossroads Lounge and Oasis Lounge and Fantasy Land both in Santee.

Nearly $6000 cash was located inside the machines before they were removed from the businesses.
