4 arrests made in murder and attempted armed robbery

COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? Sheriff Lott announces the arrests of Devin Smith, 20, and Marquel King Ross, 21, who are charged with murder and three counts of attempted armed robbery, and Tationna Sowell, 20,charged with misprision of a felony.
In a unified effort with the South Carolina Law Enforcement, and Lexington County Sheriffâ??s Department arrested Caleb Blocker, 20, charged with murder and three counts of attempted armed robbery.
Around 2am on March 15, on Farlamb Avenue, Smith, Blocker, and Ross assaulted two male victims and murdered another.
Sowell approached several men at Latinoâ??s Bar and Grill on Old Percival Road. Sowell approached the men, presenting herself as â??Mariahâ??, and was soliciting for sex. When the three men left the bar, Sowell, Smith, Blocker, and Ross followed the victimâ??s to the Fairlamb Avenue.
The Sheriff added that when they arrived at the home, two of the victims were severely beaten but managed to escape the assault; the third victim was trapped inside the vehicle where he was then dragged outside, beaten, and then shot; the suspects were looking to steal money from the victimsâ??. Richland County Coroner Gary Watts stated that the victim died as a result of the gunshot wound.
Smith, Blocker, Ross, and Sowell have been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
