5 Orangeburg County men arrested after investigation

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WACH) - Investigators with the Orangeburg Sheriff's Office have arrested five men after conducting search warrants Thursday.

Three separate search warrants conducted last Thursday resulted in the arrest of 5 Orangeburg County men and the seizure of 66.9 grams of marijuana, 27.75 grams of cocaine, 2.8 grams of crack cocaine, 5 codeine pills, 9 hydrocodone pills, nearly $2500 in currency, and a loaded sawed off shotgun were seized, according to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

Joseph Fogle, 62, was arrested on drug charges. During a search of his Branchville residence, investigators found codeine, hydrocodone, cocaine, and crack coaine.

Edward Ervin Hamilton, 22, was also arrested on drug charges. Investigators found a quantity of marijuana in Hamilton's bed and in his pants pocket while conducting a search warrant at his home in Cordova, which is within a half mile of Edisto Primary School.

Jerry Walker Willis, 20, and James Bufort Dukes, Jr., 38, were arrested on charges of simple possession of marijuana in Cordova.

Raton L. Hampton, 29, was arrested on drug charges after investigators found approximately 55 grams of marijuana individually packaged for sale in his Orangeburg home. Hampton admitted to also having approximately 25 grams of cocaine in his bedroom during the search.
