Gilbert, SC (WACH) - Peaches were the talk of the town as the Lexington County 55th Annual Peach Festival took place.
The festival brought in more than the delicious peach dishes. Local artist also set up tents to display their crafts.
"It's just amazing of all the gifts and talents different vendors have,â?? said Debra Bonaparte who brought along some of her jewels to display. "When I look at what I have, I see something a little different."
Families and those in the community gathered for the annual event, but locals were not alone when it came to the peachy festivities. People from as far as Florida traveled the distance to be a part of the event as well.
"We've been touring all of the booths. My wife is looking at arts and crafts and wants me to haul of this stuff home for her," said Rich Anderson.
The festival started off with a parade, and has plans to end the night with a beautiful firework display.
