RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH,AP) -- Richland County deputies say pit bulls rescued from a dogfighting ring are now ready for adoption.
Sheriff Leon Lott said Monday there are eight dogs ready to be adopted.
In all, 24 dogs were seized when authorities conducted a raid in September.
Lott says most of the dogs have been placed, but eight are still looking for new homes.
Sheriff Lott says two people face dogfighting charges, and a third has been charged with attempted murder for trying to run over a deputy during the raid.
