BISHOPVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say the death of an 82-year-old man in his Bishopville home appears to be suspicious.
Police found George Hardoman's body after his daughter called and said she hadn't been able to get in touch with her father for a few days.
Investigators said Hardoman was not shot, but they say there were signs he was killed by someone else and are treating the case as a homicide. They would not give details. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
Police say there was no evidence that someone broke into the home.
The State Law Enforcement Division is helping Bishopville Police with the investigation.
