A local Gamecock hangout pitches in for a worthy cause

A local Gamecock hangout pitched in to do some good on Saturday. The Loose Cockaboose hosted a fundraiser for Ken Swartz.

Ken is currently at the top of the heart transplant list in South Carolina. However, his heart is in such poor condition he hasn't been able to work in some time.

So the Loose Cockaboose hosted a fundraiser with live music and a silent auction to help Ken with his expenses. And Ken is hoping those who come out will walk away with a very important idea.

"I think to promote the idea of becoming an organ donor. Because there are a lot of people out there who need organs." says Swartz.

In addition to all the other musical acts, Ken actually played the piano for the crowd himself. He says it has been part of the emotionally healing process for him.
