      A string of armed robberies


      SUMTER (WACH) - The Sumter County Sheriff's Office has their hands full with a string of armed robberies over the weekend.


      Police responded to call at Young's Market in Sumter. The gas station reports they were robbed at gunpoint.


      Within a half an hour, another report came from the Town and Country store just down the road.


      Clarendon Police were in high speed pursuit when the suspect's car got out of control and crashed.


      The police then apprehended the suspect, which video surveilence identified as 29 year old Bryan Kennth Hodges.
