Ali Rogers: South Carolina's queen

Ali Rogers joined the Good Day crew to talk about the Miss America Competition and her duties as Miss South Carolina.

2012, Rogers was crowned

Miss South Carolina

on July 14, 2012. Since last summer, Rogers has balanced the duties of Miss South Carolina, which she calls a â??full-time job,â?? with preparing for the Miss America competition which was held in Las Vegas.

Rogers returns to the Palmetto State to carry out her year of service and says with a smile, â??I thought I was busy before.â?? She explained that her appearance calendar is filling quick, as she is asked to speak at schools and civic organizations throughout the state.

Rogers is a communications student at Clemson University.
