PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY, MD (WACH, WASHINGTON POST) -- An early morning shooting claims the lives of two University of Maryland students and injures another.
Authorities are describing the incident as a murder-suicide.
Investigators accuse one of the roommates of setting a fire in the basement of the home, and his two roommates confronted him about it.
According to police all three men then went outside, to the front of the house, where the student who had started the fire allegedly shot one of the roommates.
Police say as the second roommate tried to run the gunman allegedly shot him as well, and then turned the gun on himself.
The names of the students have not been released because authorities want to notify their families first.
The roommate who was wounded is expected to survive.
