      ATM company offers reward for wanted burglars

      The ATM Company is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

      COLUMBIA (WACH) - At least two suspects are wanted for breaking into businesses and stealing money from automatic teller machines (ATM).

      The Columbmia Police Department says the two robberies occurred one month apart from each other.

      In the first incident, the suspects are accused of breaking into the Fast Point Convenience Store on Fairfield Road and prying open the ATM to steal several thousand dollars around 1 a.m. on March 4, according to the department.

      The burglars are also accused of stealing more money from cash registers and approximately $10,000 worth of cigarettes, several rolls of lotter tickets, a gun and miscellaneous clothing.

      In the second incident, the suspects are accused of breaking into the Quick Trip Convenience Store on North Beltline Boulevard and prying open the ATM to steal money around 5 a.m. on April 8. Cartons of cigarettes and two guns were also stolen at this location, according to the department.

      The ATM Company is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
