CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities in Berkeley County have found the body of a woman they believe disappeared with her friend last weekend.

Searchers located the body in the Alvin community Wednesday about 10 miles from where the first body was found near her burned car. That body was found in the Francis Marion Forest and was identified following an autopsy as that of 18-year-old Dana Woods.

An autopsy determined that Woods had been shot. Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said Woods was not burned.

Searchers were looking for 22-year-old June Guerry, who was last seen with Woods at a fast food restaurant in Moncks Corner, about 15 miles from their St. Stephen home.

The second body will be taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy to confirm the identity.
