Bishopville man killed inside family home

      James Spann: Wanted for Murder

In Lee County deputies are hunting for a killer. Investigators say a Bishopville man was gunned-down, right in front of his mother. Authorities are looking for James Spann. He's accused of shooting 21-year-old Lindsay Lovely, Tuesday morning. The victim's family says Spann kicked down the door of their Stackley Circle home and started shooting. Investigators say Spann and Lovely were dating the same woman.

"I just feel empty," said the victim's mother Mary Ann Lovely.

Mary Ann is reliving a horrifying experience. Shortly after midnight on Tuesday, her 21-year-old son Lindsay was shot and killed just feet away from her at their family home.

"When I came out and went down the hall running, my son was laying on the floor with two gunshots to his chest on each side," said Mary Ann. "There was a hole in his side and he was gushing blood."

There was very little Mary Ann could do except comfort her son before he took his last breath.

"I was telling him to hold on and he was trying to hold on, but he couldn't," said Mary Ann.

"It killed all of my dreams, really it killed all of my dreams," said the victim's father Willi James Lovely.

Lindsay Lovely's three-year-old daughter McKenzie will now grow up without a father. The little girl's mother, Whitney Corbett, knows it will take time for McKenzie to understand what happened to her Dad.

"Yesterday she told her cousin, 'my Daddy's gone. He's dead. He's in heaven,' " said Corbett.

"He loved music and dancing. And he used to always get me up and dance with me," said Mary Ann.

Mary Ann Lovely will hold on to those memories, hoping she will dance with her son again some day.
