CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Former Gov. Mark Sanford and former Charleston County Councilman Curtis Bostic are set to meet in a debate less than one week before the GOP runoff in the state's 1st Congressional District.
The two are scheduled to meet Thursday night in Charleston.
Sanford was the top vote-getter in last week's GOP primary. Bostic finished second in the 16-candidate Republican field.
The winner of Tuesday's GOP runoff meets Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Bush in a special election in May.
The seat was left vacant when Rep. Tim Scott was appointed to the U.S. Senate seat once held by Jim DeMint, who resigned to head a conservative think tank.
Sanford is trying to make a political comeback after his public career was derailed four years ago after he admitted an affair.
