<font size="2">Budding business students compete with pitches</font>

(AP) -- Student teams from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina are set to compete for prizes and support for their startups. The business plan competition is scheduled for Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the business school. Binette says six teams are competing for $50,000 in prizes and startup support. The event is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all areas of study at the university's eight campuses. The finalists are making their big pitch in front of an audience and judges drawn from a wide range of businesses and entrepreneurial ventures.
