The weather did not put a damper on one of South Carolina's most well-known horse races.
The Carolina Cup attracted folks to the Springdale Race Course in Camden.
People didn't only come to see the horses but also to dress up in their finest attire.
Even though it was cloudy and soggy, the weather didn't faze everyone.
A patron named Eddie said, "This is the worst I've ever seen since I've been coming here."
"I think people got a little scared off at first, but if you just hold out, it has turned out to be a pretty good day," says Ammie Smith.
"Even though it was so rainy, it's still great," says Willie Brooks.
Curtis Evanson says, "There's only one thing wrong. The sky's not Carolina Blue."
