LEXINGTON, SC (WACH) - One Midlands family brought in more than just a new year, as they all gathered to celebrate a century of life for a special person.
Handy Davis is the last living sibling of his family.
"It feels so good," said Sharon Caldwell, Davis's daughter. "We never thought it was going to happen."
Davis struggles with dementia, which makes it even more important to his children and grandchildren to spend time with him while sharing memories.
"On Sunday after church, we would go riding. He would always take us riding," said Sharon.
"I'm one of the grandchildren that always grew up in the house," said Tonya Fanning, Davis's granddaughter. "I was one of the, I guess you can say spoiled ones."
Handy Davis tells WACH Fox that his secret to living for 100 years is good health.
