COLUMBIA (WACH) - Veterans from across the state gathered in downtown Columbia today for the City of Columbia's 35th annual Veteran's Day Parade.
The parade is one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast.
There were over 80 participants, including National Guard units and veteran's groups.
And even some in the crowd have proudly served their country.
"I'm out here today because I'm a veteran. An Army retiree of 22 years. And I want to come out and show my support for all my fellow veterans in arms." says Spalvera Mercer , an Army veteran.
