Chick-Fil-A fundraiser to help homeless students

COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? During the week of December 16-20, Chick-Fil-A 5 Points will donate a percent of the proceeds from all itâ??s catering events to Richland One PASS (Parents and Students Succeed) initiative, which serves more than 1,000 homeless students and their families.

On December 18, a portion of proceeds of all in-store orders also will be donated to PASS.

â??There is a huge housing crisis for the majority of our families,â?? said Deborah Boone, Richland Oneâ??s PASS coordinator. â??Quite often shelters are full and unfortunately our families have limited or no housing options.â??

To participate in the fund-raiser, customers should mention they are supporting Richland One when placing catering orders for the week of December 16-20 or in-store orders on December 18. Catering orders can be placed by calling Chick-fil-A 5 Points at 255-0232. The restaurant is located at 901 Harden Street.

Media inquiries should be directed to the Richland One Office of Communications at 231-7504 or 231-7510.
