Citations given to six store clerks for selling alcohol to minors

COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? Columbia Police Chief William â??Skipâ?? Holbrook announces that several convenience and liquor store clerks have been cited for allegedly providing for minors.
Columbia Police Department Officers and Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division or (SLED) conducted an undercover law enforcement operation on Friday, July 25 in an effort to address concerns with underage alcohol sales and consumption.
Officers and Agents visited sixteen stores in the City of Columbia. The police operation was conducted at the following locations:
4101 Monticello Road
5901 North Main Street
4007 Farrow Road
6132 North Main Street
5050 Fairfield Road
5318 Fairfield Road
Six store clerks were given citations for allegedly selling beer, wine or liquor to persons under the age of 21.
