If you want to see Clemson's fourth appearance in the Orange Bowl , Clemson Athletic Ticket Office is selling tickets to the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl for prices ranging from $50 to $225.
Tiger fans may remember the first time Clemson met Ohio State on the grid iron in the 1978 Gator Bowl. A last minute game saving interception by defensive lineman Charlie Bauman angered legendary Buckeye Head Coach Woody Hayes to the point Hayes attacked Bauman. Hayes' action led to his dismissal after the incident.
Clemson first played in the Orange Bowl in 1950, beating Miami (FL) 24-23. Their most famous trip to Miami ended with a victory over Nebraska in 1982, when the Tigers claimed the 1981 National Championship. The worst ended with a 70-33 defeat in 2011 against West Virginia in 2011.
