ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) -- Clemson University President Jim Barker has returned to work after recuperating from heart bypass surgery.
The Independent Mail of Anderson reports that Barker returned to work fulltime last week.
Barker says his doctor has even cleared him to start running again.
Barker underwent emergency surgery in January to bypass five blockages in his heart. The 1970 Clemson alum was selected as president in 1999.
Provost Doris Helms served as acting president during Barker's absence.
