      Clinton police say woman strangled

      Clinton police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman who the coroner says was strangled.

      CLINTON, S.C. (AP) -- Clinton police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old woman who the coroner says was strangled.

      Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols says Emily-Anna Asbill's death was a homicide.

      Clinton Police Chief Robin Morse says officers were called to a home late Saturday night and found Asbill. She died a short time later at the Laurens County Hospital.

      The State Law Enforcement Division and sheriff's deputies are assisting in the investigation.

      Police have not identified a suspect.
