RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority approved a temporary funding measure that will keep the struggling system afloat until the end of September at a special meeting Thursday. Richland County and the City of Columbia agreed to infuse over $1 million into the bus system Monday. The money comes on the condition the board hire an executive director and an auditing firm, which it approved Thursday.
