Columbia bands together to support Sandy Hook

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The tragic December shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut had parents across the globe holding their children a lot tighter. This weekend we get to let loose a little and send some support to victims families at the same time.

Conundrum Music Hall will host the United Way Sandy Hook School Support Fund, giving Columbia residents a reason to shake the blues and their booty's to some great local music. Daddy Lion along with The Restoration, Company, about.the Window and Ghost @ the Feast will be performing at the benefit designed to raise awareness, donations and support for Newtown survivors.

The show starts at 8 p.m., tickets are $10 and all ages are welcome. This is a fun way to give back, but if you're unable to attend, there are several other ways to help. You can donate directly to the United Way or The Newtown Memorial Fund. If you are unable to donate financially, the American Red Cross offers training in disaster relief so you can be the first to hold out your hand the next time tragedy strikes.

      See you at the show...!
