COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - Crews with the Columbia Fire Department responded to a structure fire overnight.

According to the department, the fire happened in a building at 119 Carrie Anderson Road, just off Hardscrabble Road.

Crews responded to the fire at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning and found that a car had struck the front entrance of the building. No injuries were reported, but the fire is estimated to have caused less than $40,000 in damages.

The incident is still being investigated by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and the Richland County Fire Marshal.
