Coroner identifies man shot in Sumter hotel

Sumter, S.C. (WACH)-- The man shot at a Sumter hotel Wednesday night has been identified.

Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker says 31-year-old Brandon Cummings died from an apparent gunshot wound at the Quality Inn hotel in Sumter.

Just around 10 p.m. deputies responded to a call of shots fired at a hotel on 2390 Broad Stree. Upon investigation police say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

No other details are available at this time.
