COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Columbia police say they've arrested three suspects, and are looking for another, involved in drug sales in the Midlands.
Officials credit a community tip for the arrests of Marquise Grimes, Michael Holloway and Margie Palmer. Police are currently looking for Javier Brown, who is also wanted in connection to the crimes.
The Drug Suppression Team got a call alerting them to a drug house on Randall Avenue Wednesday. During their investigation, officers say they followed two of the suspects to a convenience store where they left drugs and a weapon hidden on a shelf.
Palmer was arrested shortly after during a traffic stop. Brown, the other suspect at the store, was not in the vehicle at the time.
Officers went back to the house on Randall Avenue to look for Brown when they say Holloway and Grimes tried to run before being arrested. Police say Brown wasn't at the residence, but they seized five handguns, including one that was stolen, 30 grams of Crack, eight grams of Marijuana, eight large flat screen TVs, multiple surveillance cameras, one military issued ballistic vest and multiple items used in the manufacturing of illegal narcotics.
Police Chief Randy Scott encourages anyone with information to help investigators find Brown to call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Scott says you can also report any other criminal activity you see.
