COLUMBIA (WACH) - Two people accused of making methamphetamine in a hotel room were arrested by Columbia Police on Wednesday.

Greggory Thomas Jones and Jennifer Boone Livingston are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession with Intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Officers say they received a CrimeStoppers tip about illegal, suspicious drug activity at the Affordable Suites of America on Stoneridge Drive around 11 a.m. Wednesday. They say they knocked on a hotel room door after smelling chemicals and discovered an "active cook" in the bathroom. The cooker was unplugged and Jones and Livingston were taken into custody.

After obtaining a search warrant, police say they found ingredients to make methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana.

Jones and Livingston were taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

State Law Enforcement Division agents were called in to clean up the scene, which was described by police as high risk and very dangerous.
