      Day long manhunt ends in South Carolina

      According to our sister station, WBFF, in Baltimore, Maryland a day long manhunt has ended here in South Carolina.

      BALTIMORE, MARYLAND (WACH) -According to our sister station, WBFF, in Baltimore, Maryland a day long manhunt has ended in South Carolina.

      Eleven-year-old Caitlyn Virts and her father, Timothy Virts have been located, Baltimore County said in a tweet on Friday night.

      Police say they were found in a Motel in Florence, South Carolina and Caitlyn appears to be unharmed.

      Police say the return of Timothy Virts is pending an extradition process.

      Caitlyn will be returned home as soon as possible.

      "Baltimore County DSS has already been put in contact with Social Services officials in South Carolina," police said in a release.

      An Amber Alert was issued for Caitlyn on Thursday morning after her mother, Bobbie Jo Cortez, was found dead in their Dundalk home. Baltimore County police obtained an arrest warrant on Friday morning for Timothy Virts for Cortez's death.
