      Deputies are searching for victims and suspects of car break-ins

      COLUMBIA (WACH)â??Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting assistance in locating victims and suspects in car break-ins.

      On Tuesday, May 13, between 3am and 5am, several people were victimized in the Longcreek Plantation Area of Northeast Richland County.

      Three victimâ??s have come forward reporting that their cars have been broken into in the Windemere Neighborhood; more vicitms are suspected but have not yet come forward to the Sheriff's Department.

      The Club Cottages Community and the Longton Estateys in Longcreek Plantation and the Hollyridge Community (off Longtown Road) had similar incidents in April.

      One suspect was wearing a light solid colored jump suit with a hoodie and tennis shoes, and was around 6â?? tall. The second suspect is described as a black male about 6â?? tall, wearing a dark sweat pants and dark sweat shirt or a hoodie.

      The suspects have stolen purses, golf clubs, golf bags, guns, cash, sunglasses and electronics.

      Lott asks that anyone with information on the crime should call, email, or text their anonymous tips to Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
