Deputies arrest 2 men with 'extensive criminal history'

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) - A series of crimes lead to the arrest of two "career criminals" according to officials with the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Jamale Pratt, 28, and Marvin Henderson, 38, were arrested early Tuesday morning on charges of burglary, possession of a stolen ATM, grand larceny and failure to stop for blue lights and siren.

According to Lott, Pratt and Henderson are accused of stealing a white box truck from a business on Sparkman Dr. The two suspects are then accused of breaking into the back of Off the Rails on Two Notch road around 5 a.m. Tuesday and stealing an ATM.

Authorities say a concerned citizen called 911 to report suspicious activity at Off the Rails and provided a description of the stolen vehicle.

Deputies spotted the truck near Alpine and Two Notch Roads and attempted to pull over the suspects, according to Lott. Pratt and Henderson drove onto Interstate 20 Westbound where they were pursued to Bluff Road and Interstate 77. The suspects fled on foot and were quickly taken into custody.

Lott says both suspects have "an extensive criminal history."
