      Deputies: Bank robbers fled scene in stolen car

      Richland County deputies are looking for a pair of bank robbers after an early afternoon robbery off of Garner's Ferry Road.

      COLUMBIA (WACH)- Richland County deputies are looking for a pair of bank robbers after an early afternoon robbery off of Garner's Ferry Road.

      According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, at about 1 p.m. two African-American males walked into the TD Bank at the corner of Garner's Ferry and Greenview Road.

      The men fled in a car that had been stolen Thursday night. Deputies recovered the vehicles and an undisclosed amount of cash.

      The robbery caused a two hour lockdown of Meadowfield Elementary, which has since been lifted.

      Deputy Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff's Department said investigators are still looking for the two suspects.
