      Deputies: Car sale leaves one brother dead, one seriously injured

      LEXINGTON (WACH)- Investigators say a car sale turns deadly near Pelion.

      Deputies say one man was shot and another man is seriously wounded after two men had arranged a meeting to buy a motor vehicle.

      Lexington County Chief Deputy Coroner Randy Martin said 29 year-old Tycus Toland was killed and investigators say his 33 year-old brother Vonkeith Toland, of Pelion is seriously injured.

      Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said, Vonkeith Toland told deputies that the two men who shot him and his brother had arranged to meet about a car advertised for sale on craigslist.org.

      Toland told deputies he arranged for the two men to follow them in a separate motor vehicle from North to his home near Pelion.

      Deputies say the two men were riding in a light blue or silver sport utility vehicle.

      Metts said the two men shot the Toland brothers in the front yard of Vonkeith Toland??s home shortly after they arrived at the residence.

      Witnesses told detectives that one man was a heavy-set African-American, who appeared to be 5-foot-8 and had his hair braided into short dreadlocks, and that the second man, was also African-American, with a thin build, closely cropped hair and about 6-foot-3.
