RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) - Another arrest has been made in connection with an inmate assault at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in February.
Sheriff Leon Lott says Todd Andrew Hollins, 51, was arrested on March 20 and charged with obstruction of justice.
Lott says Hollins lied to investigators during previous interviews conducted during the course of this investigation.
Arrest warrants for Olympia Latoya Tuten have been issued and Lott says she is expected to turn herself into authorities Friday night on the same charge as Hollins.
The sheriff says Hollins and Tuten did not report the assault and they lied about the sequence of events regarding the assault.
The assault victim is still recovering from severe injuries, according to Lott. Investigators are working to determine if additional charges will come against correctional officers or those previously employed by the jail.
The investigation by the Richland County Sheriff's Department is ongoing.
