Despite making landfall, Isaac still a major threat

Columbia, SC (WACH) - Isaac is now a tropical storm and moving over land, but the threat is still very high.
Isaac is moving very slow, around six miles per hour, causing major flooding problems for the Gulf Coast.
Another threat from Isaac has been tornados, which are common with tropical systems.
SkyWACH WeatherBug Meteorologist, Jacob Wycoff, spent the day in Gulfport, MS where flooding from rain and storm surge was a problem. "We`ve seen about four inches of rain and that`s expected to go up," said Wycoff.
Isaac will continue to move into the Central Plains and Mississippi River Valley over the next several days. Although these are drought stricken areas, flash flooding will be a concern as heavy amounts of rain are expected to continue to fall from Isaac.
