Drive for Life: Red Cross blood needs at a critical level

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Every two seconds, someone needs blood, and right now the need for blood in the Midlands is at a critical level.
To help meet that need the Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region has issued an emergency request for blood and platelets.
According to the Red Cross, all blood types are needed, especially types O-, A- and B-.
You'll have the opportunity to give Thursday, July 18 at WACH Fox's annual Drive For Life blood drive. We'll be at
The Plex at the Village at Sandhill
from 1 - 8 p.m.
Join us, our friends at
92.1 The Palm
, & 94.3 The Dude, and you'll get a hat, CiCiâ??s Pizza, and a CiCi's buffet voucher, plus the first 100 donors will receive tickets to the Columbia Blowfish game on July, 24.
