COLUMBIA (WACH) â?? An early morning blaze in the northeast has left at least one home with significant damage.
According to Columbia Fire Department spokesman Brick Lewis, a fire was reported on Darlington Oak Court in Lake Carolina at about 3:30 Thursday morning. When firemen arrived, they found the house fully involved and threatening neighboring houses.
Additional crews were called to scene to bring the fire under control. Lewis reported that there were no injuries reported, although he said the house suffered â??significant damage and is considered a total loss.â??
The fire will be investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshals Office.
